Our Process
How we work with you, start to finish.
From the first message to the final walkthrough, here’s what to expect when you work with Garbo Handyman Services in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Initial Inquiry
You reach out with a description of the repairs, maintenance, or improvements you need. A list is welcome — one repair or several.
Photos & Project Details
Where helpful, you share photos, the location, and any preferred timing. The more we can see, the more accurate the next step.
Assessment or Site Visit
For larger or unclear scope, we assess on site or review the details remotely to confirm what the work involves.
Written Scope & Exclusions
You get a written scope of what's included — and what's excluded — so there are no surprises about what the project covers.
Materials & Access
We confirm materials, lead times, and any access needs (parking, pets, time on site) before scheduling.
Scheduling
We line up a visit or project timeline that fits your schedule. We don't promise fixed turnaround times, since scope and conditions vary.
Property Protection
Before work starts, we protect the surrounding area — floors, furnishings, and surfaces — and keep the work contained.
Agreed Work
We complete the agreed tasks to the standard you expect, with clean workmanship and clear communication throughout.
Unforeseen Conditions
If more work is discovered once we start, we stop and discuss it with you before proceeding. No surprise additions without your approval.
Cleanup & Completion Review
We clean up, walk through the finished work with you, and confirm everything is done to your satisfaction.
We don’t promise fixed turnaround times or a change-order policy that hasn’t been confirmed with the owner. Scope, materials, access, and existing conditions all affect timing and cost — and we discuss each of those with you before work begins.
FAQ
Questions about how we work.
How do you prepare before starting work?+
We review the scope — often with photos or a site visit for larger projects — confirm materials and access needs, protect the surrounding area, and identify anything that requires a licensed trade or permit. You get a written scope and quote before any work begins.
Do I need to move furniture before you arrive?+
We protect floors, furnishings, and surfaces around the work area, but clearing breakables and small items from the immediate workspace helps. For larger projects we'll discuss what to move and when during planning.
How long does a typical project take?+
It depends on scope, materials, access, and existing conditions. A handyman visit may take a few hours; a remodel runs weeks. We don't promise fixed turnaround times — we give you a realistic timeline during planning and keep you updated as the work progresses.
Do you repair drywall or damaged trim?+
Yes. Drywall patches, trim repair, re-caulking, and touch-ups are standard handyman work. We match existing texture and profiles where possible so repairs blend into the surrounding surface.
What happens if more work is discovered once you start?+
We stop and discuss it with you before proceeding. No surprise additions are made without your approval. Unforeseen conditions — rot behind trim, a hidden leak — are communicated clearly so you can decide how to proceed.
